Mack attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia where he earned his Master’s of Science in Education (Magna Cum Laude) in Health Promotion with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning and his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, holds certifications in Corrective Exercise and Personal Training with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, American Red Cross CPR/AED certified and received his USAW Club Coach I certification with the training team from the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
Mack’s experience expands across a 20+ year career and wide spectrum within the disciplines of strength and conditioning, sports medicine, coaching, pre-habilitation and health/fitness. He worked alongside College Football Hall of Fame Head Coach-Frank Beamer as well as mentor and NSCA Hall of Fame Master of Strength and Conditioning-Coach Mike Gentry Ph.D, C.S.C.S.. Mack worked with all 22 NCAA Division I sports teams competing in the Big East and Atlantic Coast Conferences throughout each year at Virginia Tech
During his graduate program, Mack developed a hand-eye coordination training system for elite athletes (attached video) that caught the attention of Under Armour. This system has since been applied to NCAA athletics, skill position players in the National Football League to younger tennis/golf athletes competing in New York City as well as patients requiring motor skill improvement.
Mack also is a NYC based stuntman with SAG/AFTRA for film and television as well as being nominated for an EMMY for “Best Stunt Team Ensemble”. Some of the productions he has worked on include: “John Wick”, “The Blacklist”, “Law and Order: SVU”, “Gotham”, “Madame Secretary”, "The Equalizer", "American Horror Story", MARVEL’s “The Punisher”, “Luke Cage”, “Jessica Jones” and more.
During his free time Mack is an avid competitor for SPARTAN, Savage Race and Bonefrog Navy SEAL obstacle course races. He enjoys returning to North Carolina to visit family, swim, surf and play beach volleyball at the Outer Banks.
His unflinching passion for training and elevating one’s potential is reflective of the high standards set by all his mentors, professors, coaches and colleagues throughout his career from the University to Olympic level.
